Four Seasons Hotel

I saw mice and insects myself, and after staying here I'm worried I might get ill. In my opinion, city health officials should close the hotel. It's old, dirty, and smells bad, and the rooms and bathrooms all felt unclean. The staff were rude, especially the male and female managers. I also felt staff took guests' belongings if something worth taking was left in the room. I've contacted the city inspector about closing the hotel, and I won't come back.

From here you can walk to the beach in a few minutes, and the main street with its shops, cafes, and restaurants is close too. It's a lively, convenient area that works well for relaxing or exploring. For such a central seaside spot, I was really impressed by the prices. Great value.

Getting into my room without a key was alarmingly easy. I asked reception for the spare, and they handed it over without asking my name, so someone could have accessed another guest's room. Anyone at reception could also get to the luggage storage, which had no lock or key. The breakfast needs a major overhaul. We came down more than an hour before it ended, but most of the hot food was nearly stone cold. The rooms are very tired too. New carpets, mattresses, and basic things like tea and coffee supplies or maybe an iron would help. The hotel's location is excellent and the staff are friendly, but I can't recommend it as it is. I hope they take this and other reviews seriously and fix some of these issues.

The location is ideal, and I came away with a very good impression. The hotel is a bit old, but a renovation would probably mean paying a different price. For somewhere to sleep without spending a lot on accommodation, it works well. We found it clean: the bath, toilet, sheets, and towels were all perfectly clean, and we didn't see any of the cockroaches or insects mentioned in other comments. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and checked us in three hours early, which was a lifesaver after a long, exhausting trip. Breakfast isn't the hotel's strongest point, but it was bearable for the price. I think some people expect a three-star place to look and serve like a five-star hotel.
