The rooms are a good size and better maintained than the hotel's common areas. Our room was okay for cleanliness, but the shared areas were only so-so. The pool was open only from 11 to 19, closed for 16 hours a day. That made it practically useless for us, since we were out exploring Glyfada and Greater Athens during the day and wanted to swim in the morning or early evening. It was a huge disappointment for the kids. Staff in general seemed uninterested, quite rude, and very transactional.

Seriously, how does this place have a 4.3/5 rating? The service was terrible. After a certain time we couldn't get extra towels because the front desk couldn't be bothered to find them. They don't provide water bottles either, so you have to go down to the bar before it closes and pay 5 euros for water. The hotel also seems poorly maintained, with stains all over the carpets. I don't know when it was last vacuumed. A joke of a place, and below one star in my view.

The hotel is in good shape overall. It's clearly not new, but has what you need. The room with a kitchen had no utensils at all, though. You have to get everything from reception. Staff were nice, but communication was confusing. One day jumping into the pool and having fun was fine, the next we were told off for it. Breakfast outside was okay one day, then the next we were told it normally wasn't allowed and they wouldn't set out cutlery. We never knew what was okay. As two women in our twenties, we also felt they treated us like rowdy teenagers who couldn't be trusted, even though we're nice people. Room service came every day, which was nice, but they moved the pillows to different beds, took away a bunch of our towels, and even took the slippers after we'd stopped using them after one day, while we were staying seven days. That was super odd. We liked the 20-minute walk into the main city, especially the return along the beach after lunch. There's also a bus if you don't want to walk. The hotel is on a super loud street, so it's not a good fit if you need quiet to sleep. The hotel is nice and staff can be very nice, but we didn't find the way we were treated as younger-looking women relaxing. I'd recommend it for people 30 and up.

The sightseeing bus stops right outside, and the hotel works well for Glyfada and nearby beaches. Getting into Athens, though, is a trek. There's a tram about a 10-minute walk away, but first you have to cross a busy six-lane road. A grassy median means you only cross three lanes at a time, but the road is noisy. The trip takes an hour either way, changing trams or getting off at the second-last stop before Piraeus to switch to the Metro. Rooms have a fridge, a small cooking area, and a balcony. The decor is old-fashioned, and the corridors and lift feel dated. There's a small outdoor pool with a good poolside bar. Breakfast is adequate, served in a large airy dining room with nice pool views. It was only okay overall, and you'd want a good price to make the city commute worthwhile.

The balcony view was so peaceful, and the room itself helped us unwind, with calming colours and everything spotlessly clean. We were able to walk to shops, cafés, and both public and private beaches. Breakfast was a tasty, satisfying continental spread with a Mediterranean touch. The whole place was very clean, and the staff were consistently lovely and helpful. What made our stay at Oasis Apartment Hotel in Glyfada unforgettable was how warmly we were welcomed. We arrived very early, six hours before check-in, and the general manager, Stratos, greeted us and let us use all the hotel facilities. He even served us breakfast himself. My husband and I still feel happy thinking about that kindness. Oasis made us fall in love with Greece, and we're grateful for all the warmth, smiles, and genuine care. We can't wait to return.
