Gonia is a traditional Cretan village about 15 minutes from the city center. We found this to be an affordable stay that still felt luxurious. The owner was friendly and offered useful, unusual tips for our trip. It was one of the most amazing times in our lives, and we're already looking forward to visiting Rethymno again. We had an excellent stay. The hosts were kind and happy to tell us about and show us the beaches nearby. The place is so thoughtfully designed that even demanding guests should be pleased. I highly recommend it, and I'm already looking forward to coming back!
