The hotel and its staff made our holiday. When my daughter got ill while we were away, chef Ilias went out of his way to take us to the pharmacy and help her get better. His food was wonderful too. The rest of the staff looked after all of us so well, and manager Costa upgraded our room at no charge to accommodate my daughter. Thank you, Diogenis hotel, for a great trip. The hotel is lovely and the staff are amazing.

The food is amazing. I’d love to know how they make the pork and beef so tender. Sophia and Ilias deserve a special mention for being brilliant and making my birthday feel so special. We’re having a fantastic holiday here. The hotel sits right on the seafront, with its own beach and sunbeds. Our room overlooked the pool and was just right, light and airy. The cleaning staff keep it to a high standard. The hotel is under a flight path, but we never found that bothersome.

The employees gave us such a warm welcome, and Ilias, Yorgos, Ivan and Ari were especially friendly and welcoming. Their genuine hospitality made the atmosphere relaxed and helped us feel at home throughout our stay. Diogenis Blue Palace is a beautiful place to unwind, with lovely surroundings, comfortable rooms and a peaceful feel. Everything was spotless and well cared for. It was a five-star experience from start to finish, and we had a memorable stay. We’d happily return and recommend it to anyone visiting Crete.

The hotel was very quiet when I arrived at the start of the season, then got noisier toward the end. The stay was good throughout, though, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking around Heraklion. I might come back to see how it looks once all the renovations are finished. Some work is underway now, and they’re building a bar in front of the hotel. That bar isn’t part of the hotel or the all-inclusive offer, though hotel guests can use the sunbeds for free. The staff are kind, the hotel is very clean, and the rooms have an old-fashioned style with a modern renovated bathroom. The beds and pillows are reasonably comfortable, so I’m not sure why people complain about them. The alcohol selection might disappoint some people. Soft drinks and juices aren’t original brands but are okay, though the orange and apple juice can sometimes be undrinkably sweet.

A lovely holiday. Ilias was so kind and looked after us. The hotel had good shows and music, and our beautiful room looked out to sea. The music stopped at 10 P.M., and the food changed every day and was really good. A great spot for a holiday. 🙌
