Breakfast was tasty, and the staff serving it were friendly. There's a set menu for 14.99, not 12.99 as Booking.com said, and you can order from the menu. We also liked seeing several small families with babies around. The rooms are very nice and the atmosphere friendly, but the noise means we wouldn't return. We stayed in the new building, which had only opened in June, on the first floor. We had booked a studio apartment for its little kitchen and separate room, since we were travelling with a baby, but also wanted a balcony or terrace. We hadn't realized all the suites had one, so we regret paying for the upgrade. The junior suite was lovely, new and fancy for two people, but families would probably do better in an apartment. I'd suggest a suite with a balcony because it's away from the street. The other rooms face a small street where a tourist bus passes the balcony or terrace every 10 minutes, and it's very loud. The pool area is loud too, with a plane landing at the airport about every 15 minutes. Daily cleaning was disappointing: dirty cups weren't cleaned or replaced, and the floor still had sand from the previous day's beach visit.

We've been coming here for years and highly recommend it. It's family-run, clean, well located, and has nice rooms and a lovely pool area. The staff give great service and are very friendly.

The hotel was really quiet, and room service did a very good job. Service was friendly too. The new suites are beautiful, but the other rooms are old, very small and cost far too much. Gouves itself is dull. There's little there apart from an overpriced supermarket and a restaurant with a lovely view that is also too expensive. I'd say it's a really nice stay if you get one of the new suites.

Elea feels like a home away from home: relaxed and comfortable, with helpful people who are ready to do whatever they can when you need something. The pool never seemed too crowded, which was great with the kids. It's welcoming to children without being all about them, and the mix of families and young couples worked really well. Our room was lovely, bright and airy, and you could tell it had been refurbished recently. We'd definitely return and recommend it.
