Grikos Hotel

Grikos Bay is about 3 km from the town center and port. The hotel is a minute from the beach, and breakfast is served on the terrace with a brilliant view across the bay. There’s a long beach area where you can sit in most spots, many of them unmanaged, plus some good taverns and a nice pizza and pasta restaurant right beside the hotel. The hotel is very clean and run by a welcoming Greek family who do their best to help. I’d definitely recommend it for a stay in Patmos. There’s no market or shop nearby, so make sure to buy groceries in town before coming.

The hotel is on a nice street, only a minute’s walk from the sea, and the owners and managers, grandma, grandfather, and grandson, made us feel at home as soon as we met. They answered all our questions. It was my second time in Patmos, and the beautiful bay, shoreline walk, and nearby restaurants made this a lovely two-day holiday. The location made our trip easy and enjoyable. Our room was spacious and had everything we wanted, though the bathroom was small and a little dated. There was a balcony with chairs, a table, and a drying hanger. The room looked toward the countryside and mountains. We ate breakfast on the terrace with a very nice view of Grikos bay. Grandma’s homemade jams and delicious yoğurt were highlights, and breakfast was enough. Thanks to Michael and his grandparents. I’ll recommend the hotel to friends visiting Patmos.

The rooftop terrace looks out over Grikos harbor and is a lovely spot for breakfast. The spread each morning was generous and enjoyable. I stayed two nights on my first visit to Patmos in June 2023. My room was simple but comfortable, and the owners and staff were perfectly hospitable. I’d certainly stay again!

The view from the breakfast terrace was beautiful, and the rooms were very clean. Dionysis and his family were so welcoming and helpful that, even on our first visit to Patmos, it felt like we’d known them for years.
