Infinity Hotel Gytheio

The setting is a real highlight, with a breathtaking view, and the staff were kind, helpful, hospitable, and focused on service. The breakfast buffet was also excellent and tasty. Still, we left with mixed feelings, mainly because of what we paid through booking.com: 234 euro for three people per night. That price set expectations the hotel didn't meet. We usually look for a large three-person room or two rooms for our group of two adults and a 16-year-old, but we booked a triple room on booking.com, so we share some responsibility. The hotel should still be prudent about its pricing. 234 Euro a night didn't feel justified by the services, even if booking.com charges a cancellation fee. The platforms should show realistic base prices. Reception also said that a better rate might have been available if we'd contacted them directly, which felt like it undercut the existing platform relationship. The hotel sits on a steep hillside across multiple levels, and the elevators weren't working. We had to haul our luggage up more than 52 steps over two or three floors. There wasn't staff available to help at first, so the man making coffees had to be sent over, leaving the cafe bar without staff. The elevators had been out for a long time, even though it was peak tourist season, and it gave the impression the owners or managers didn't care. Our room was cramped for three people over 1.70 cm tall. The air conditioning was very loud, so we had to turn it off to sleep. Since the room faces east, the sun hit it from 0630 and made it feel like a sauna. Water pipes were noisy too, making sleep difficult. The bathroom tub faucet didn't work properly, so we had to brush our teeth in the shower. The shower cabin floor drain was broken and dirty, and I could imagine insects getting in that way. The surrounding areas looked dirty, as shown in the pictures. The pool is beautifully styled and situated like an oasis, but it was poorly maintained and definitely dirty. There is hotel parking, but only a few spots. If you get back late, finding space on the heavily built-up cliff nearby is challenging. The amazing location and kind staff couldn't offset the details that fell short at 234 euro per night. There are areas this hotel needs to improve.

The balcony is hard to leave. I have breakfast and coffee there, then enjoy a drink in the evening, looking out at that breathtaking view. As an artist, I find inspiration and calm in nature, and the sunrise over the deep blue sea and sky feels like a magical moment, a special happiness I call Infinity. Infinity Hotel is a welcoming, spotless place to relax in comfort, and the staff are cheerful and helpful. Breakfast is delicious, with everything you could want, and there's convenient parking on site. It's good for families and people of all ages. The location also makes it easy to explore Mani, Gythio, and Monemvasia. It's in my favorite place, Gythio, and I'll definitely visit again soon. Thank you for your hospitality!

We were six friends and spent six nights at the Infinity Hotel. The welcome felt personal and warm, and the service, cleanliness, and breakfast were all wonderful. Highly recommend it.

The owners would do anything to make your stay a good one, and the service is fabulous. Breakfast is unsurpassed too. The balconies look out over the water, with what may be the best view in Gytheio. It's an easy ten-minute walk from the main square, which keeps things much quieter. Just be aware there's a long flight of steps down to the main door. The hotel is waiting for an elevator permit.
