Sarantis Hotel

Breakfast was fresh and delicious, with plenty to choose from, and the hotel was spotless and comfortable. It has such a warm, inviting feel. From the moment I arrived, I felt at home. The family who own the hotel are genuinely caring and welcoming, and all the staff were friendly, helpful, and quick with a smile. It's rare to find comfort, great service, and such real hospitality together. I can't recommend it enough, and I'm already looking forward to coming back.

The hotel is in a quiet, peaceful spot, yet the beach and Hanioti center are only a short walk away. We also loved the beautiful, well-kept pool area for relaxing after a day by the sea. Both our double and triple rooms were modern, spotless, and comfortable, with nice balconies and all the amenities we needed. Mr. Sarantis and Ms. Georgie were so kind and welcoming, always ready to help and attentive to every detail. They made us feel at home. For our 15th wedding anniversary, Ms. Georgie surprised us with a bottle of wine. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made the stay feel even more special. Thank you for the great service and unforgettable holiday. We would definitely come back!

The room was spacious and cozy, and the lobby has a little library of interesting books in English and Russian. Our ground-floor room had an iron and ironing board, a hairdryer, plenty of European sockets including USB-A, more than 10 coat hangers, a TV we didn't use, and bedside lamps with adjustable light that were handy for reading. There was a countertop, sink, and clear water glasses, though we really missed having a kettle and plates. We'd bought local sweets and fruit and had nothing to eat them with or from. The AC worked well during the day, but blew right onto the kid's bed, so we left the terrace door open at night. The cat sometimes came in and even scratched. The fridge froze everything, including our bottled water overnight, so adjust the temperature ahead of time. The bathroom door didn't lock. Maybe we could have asked for a key, but we got used to it. They cleaned daily and changed towels and the bath mat every two days. This is a cozy family-run place for a peaceful stay in Hanioti. Mr. Sarantis and the charismatic Mrs. Georgia are always warm and helpful at the lobby. You can sit there with a laptop, maybe a cold tea or beer, though the open space can get a bit warm. A black-and-white cat wanders around at night and might sneak into your room or nap on a towel left on a chair. The pool is sized for about five people at a time, with a maximum depth of 150 cm. There were always enough sunbeds and umbrellas, and it was clean and well maintained. There's a nearby bar playing relaxing music through the day. Breakfast is good, in a cozy Greek home-style way, though we missed having a proper espresso machine. Wi-Fi was reliable with no noticeable interruptions. You only get one keycard, but can leave it at reception when you go out. Several supermarkets are within walking distance, the beach is about seven minutes away, and the town center is five minutes away. We highly recommend Zorbas for a meal. The hotel clearly deserves the awards it's received in different categories.

The staff were lovely and helped us right away when we had a problem. They even helped us park the night we arrived. The room was cleaned and the towels changed daily. Breakfast was good, with homemade sweets every day. The homemade vanilla jam was amazing, definitely try it if you get the chance. If we come back to hanioti, we'll stay here again for sure.
