The location is the only positive thing I can say. This was probably one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. I’m not sure, but there are rumors the owner has changed, and the hotel’s current state is, to put it mildly, catastrophic. It’s advertised as a 4 star hotel, yet it doesn’t deserve more than 1 star, and they charge extra fees because of that rating. Parking is paid, not free. The rooms, furniture, and appliances are old. The air conditioner doesn’t work, and the terrace door won’t close. Rooms are cleaned every 8 days, which is really disappointing. The food and staff were the worst part, with a few exceptions. The food is tasteless and poor quality, often just macaroni with ketchup. Instead of a buffet, staff serve whatever they think is enough, and food runs out often. You may have to wait in line, and if you don’t get there first, you can expect to go hungry. The women serving food had shaking hands under the pressure not to serve more than the owner thinks they should. The staff are rude. One waiter in particular, a little black man who clears glasses and bottles from tables, was especially rude and behaved very primitively. They don’t let you take any food out of the dining room, not even fruit. On top of all that, it’s overpriced. Don’t leave your money here.

The manager and the rest of the staff were friendly, approachable, and always smiling, which made us feel very welcome. Our spacious, recently renovated room had an excellent bed and air conditioning. The pool was fantastic and well maintained, and there were 3-4 main dishes to choose from each day, so we could always find something tasty. Everything important is within 100 meters. The beach and city center are right by the hotel, yet the hotel itself is peaceful and pleasant. A wonderful experience, and we’ll definitely come back.

One of the waiters, an older brunette man, was horribly rude and inadequate. The food service was absolutely horrible, and the food was the worst quality I’ve had at a hotel. They serve it onto guests’ plates themselves and stare at you if you ask for more. The choice was ridiculous, just 9 containers in total. The food was often cold and not fresh, and the fruit container was so small it was empty 80% of the time. I spent a week there this summer.

The location is great, but the half-board food was a real letdown. I’ve stayed at four or five other places in Hanioti, and this was easily the worst for food, despite being among the most expensive. I was there in September. I’d recommend Lesse Hotel instead.

The pool was great, with a shallow section for little kids, and everything else about the stay was really good. Staff were helpful, and the room was cleaned and given fresh towels every day. The one issue was how food was served: staff put it on your plate, and the portions felt small, so I had to ask for a bit more.
