City Vibes by Checkin

The location was exactly what we wanted, right in the middle of the city. The old town is a few minutes away on foot, and bars, restaurants and the waterfront are easy to reach. There's no beach right nearby, but that's more of a resort thing in Crete, and we wanted to be in the thick of things. There are two restaurants on the ground floor, a bar in the alley next door, and a primary school by the cathedral, so children play nearby in the mornings. Within a 5-minute walk, you can usually find something to eat or drink. Parking takes some effort: there's a paid garage nearby, or you can search for a street spot outside the zone. We were travelling as a family and wanted separate rooms, and this apartment suited us well. It has two bedrooms, a shower bathroom with a washing machine, a kitchen with the essentials including a coffee machine, four-burner ceramic cooktop and dishes, a big hallway, a comfortable living room with a dining table for six, and a long balcony. The beds had excellent, nicely firm mattresses, and the place was clean and inviting. It has air conditioning, which we didn't need in February. We could have used the heat, but it was warm enough. The landlord helped us out of a bit of a mess very easily, which made for a great experience. We absolutely recommend it.
