Dom Boutique Hotel

The room was stylish, very clean, and comfortable, with excellent bedding and a mattress that made for a great night’s sleep. Breakfast was fresh, varied, and made with high-quality ingredients. From arrival, the reception staff were welcoming, professional, and ready to help. The location is a real plus: historic places, restaurants, and the harbor are all within walking distance. For me, this is a Heraklion gem and the best hotel in the city. I’ll definitely come back. If you want a stylish place with great service in a prime spot, I’d say it’s a must.

We made Peskesi part of the trip and loved it, though you’ll want to book ahead. The hotel was a great base both at the start and the end of our three weeks in Crete. It’s close to top sights and excellent restaurants, and the location is hard to beat. Rooms were comfortable, modern, and well equipped, the breakfast was outstanding, and service stayed excellent on both visits. One thing puzzled us: Bill C., who has only one review, posted the exact opposite of our experience around the same time. I can’t explain why our impressions were so different. We’d highly recommend this hotel.

The DOM was wonderful at both the start and end of our Crete trip. George and the whole team, including the lovely cleaners, were fantastic. On our way back from Chania, I left my iPad on the bus. By the time I noticed, it was heading back from Heraklion to the Chania bus terminal. The DOM staff were so helpful when I contacted them. We flew out the next day, so I could only leave my contact details and home address in Australia and hope they’d follow up. They did. They got the iPad sent back to Heraklion, where a staff member picked it up. Since we were spending a few days in Manchester before returning to Australia, George and I exchanged messages to figure out how to get it to me. He eventually sent it by courier and gave me the company details and tracking link. Australia Post has just told me the parcel arrived and will be couriered to me tomorrow. It all happened within three weeks. I can’t say enough about George and his team. They’re simply the best.
