Metaxa Hotel

The port view was beautiful, and the accommodations were comfortable. Legacy Gastro Suites had a friendly staff and a warm atmosphere throughout. I’d recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Heraklion, and I hope I can visit again soon.

We spent four nights here and had an amazing stay. The room was lovely, spacious, and fully accessible. Breakfast was great, and the minibar had lots of good food and drink options. They also offered discounts at local restaurants. The hotel is close to Heraklion museum and to local buses for Knossos, which was perfect for us. The staff were always friendly and helpful. A special shout-out to Nikos at reception for the very best food recommendations. He made our trip feel special.

The service was warm, and the hotel sits right in the middle of Heraklion Centre, with great access to shops and restaurants on the commercial streets. The room is small, though it is a two-room suite. The shower is right in the middle of the bedroom.

The breakfast had something for every group, and our upgraded room was perfect. The location also made it easy to get to everything we wanted to see. But what really exceeded the five-star standard we usually look for was the service. The whole staff kept smiling and tried hard to please us. Chara and Makes especially stood out and made sure we were well cared for.
