Mirabello Hotel

We only stayed one night in Heraklion, and the hotel suited us perfectly. The room was very clean, with a small balcony where we could dry our swimwear, and the location is great. The staff were very helpful as well. With a car, you'll need to pay for parking or leave it along the street. We'd come back.

For the price and service, I can't think of any real negatives. If anything, this hotel seems underrated and deserves more stars. The location is very convenient, with the bus station, central park and especially Heraklion port all within walking distance. The staff were caring and attentive. I arrived a little early expecting to leave my luggage and go for a walk until check-in, but my room was already ready and they let me check in early. Thank you.

We booked directly on the Mirabello website for about 56 euro a night, plus a small tax, I think 0.5 per night. For this budget the room size is decent, and everything was very clean and modern. It had the necessary amenities, including cups, coffee and tea sachets, a kettle, hair dryer and hot water. We booked last minute and stayed in two different rooms over two nights. The bathroom design was the small drawback. The first night's bathroom had more space and worked better for us. In the second, the sink was poorly designed, with the spot for toiletries and toothbrush right above it, making it awkward to bend down and wash your face. The shower area wasn't huge, but was still okay. I'd recommend staying here on a budget. It's a bit far from the port, so walking there gets annoying, but the town and other restaurants are well placed.

The beds were clean and comfortable, with thick pillows, and the staff were friendly. The towels had a slight odor. We'd happily come back.
