The setting at Koutsounari Traditional Cottages was quiet and relaxing, tucked back from the road but only a few minutes from the beach, with supermarkets nearby. Our cottage was spacious, immaculate, and tastefully decorated, with a lovely sea view. The bed was extremely comfortable, and I liked the distinctive design and atmosphere of the place. Joanna greeted my husband and me warmly and was always ready to help with a smile. I had a really pleasant stay, and Koutsounari exceeded what I expected. I highly recommend it to anyone after a memorable hotel stay. Kudos to the whole team for their work.

This was my second time at Koutsounari Traditional Cottages, and after another great stay I'm sure I'll be back again. Ioanna, the property manager, has made the cottages feel like a distinctive, authentic Greek experience. The architecture and interior details give them a traditional feel while still offering modern comforts like WiFi and climate control. It's a peaceful, quiet area, with the beach, grocery store, and places to eat all within walking distance. Koutsounari is a little piece of paradise on an already beautiful island. If you're travelling to this part of Crete, take a look at staying here. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

We spent a fantastic week at Koutsounari Traditional Cottages. Our house had plenty of room for our family of four, and the view over the Libyan Sea was breathtaking. Every little detail felt considered, and the interior blended traditional and modern styles in a distinctive way. Ioanna greeted us warmly and was kind and helpful, giving us all the information we needed about nearby places to visit. It's an ideal spot for travellers wanting an authentic Cretan summer. We'll definitely be back, highly recommended!

We stayed in cottage ‘Mikro’, with a fabulous outlook over the sea and olive trees. The kitchen was small but very well equipped, and the Korres toiletries in the bathroom were a nice touch. The traditional cottages have been stylishly restored while keeping a simple feel, with all the comfort you need to feel welcome and looked after. It's a charming place to spend a few days away from the crowds. Ioanna, the efficient and charming manager, brings the place to life and shares restaurant and sightseeing recommendations. She knows the region well. If you have a few days free, stay here! ❤️

This was our fourth time here, and we're still finding new things to enjoy. The cottages are tastefully renovated and comfortable, with a great location, lovely views, and excellent service. It's close to the sea, and we could relax here while also taking trips to nearby beaches and villages. We came for Easter, but it would certainly be great in summer too. The homemade orange marmalade was out of this world. We'll definitely come back!
