Mount Athos Hotel

Everything we ate was fresh and full of flavor, and the tarama was the best I’ve had anywhere in Greece. The staff were cheerful, polite, and so friendly that we felt welcome right away. Perfect setting and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended!

The harbor-view double room was superb, spacious, very clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed. Fresh fruit, water, and coffee and tea were provided every day. Breakfast was very, very good, and the view over the village and port was amazing. The staff were polite and helpful, and made us feel at home. The pools were okay, though the area felt a bit noisy for us with quite a lot of children around. We would have preferred beach sunbeds, since the umbrella netting didn't give much protection from the sun. We explored a few nearby beaches and found this side of Chalkidiki much less crowded. For an unforgettable stay, ask for a room looking out over the port.

Our bungalow was cleaned every day, which was a big help with two kids and the mess they made in the afternoons. We were also welcomed warmly and could use the facilities while we waited for the bungalow to be ready. The hotel opened in 2020, and it still feels fresh and well maintained. Cleanliness was impeccable. Our almost seven-year-old daughter loved going to the indoor and outdoor playgrounds every day. Two lovely ladies were there looking after the children. The beach is a little rocky but enjoyable, and the beachfront is for hotel guests, so it feels peaceful and private. Just before it are two lovely infinity pools, with the children's pool on the left and the adults' pool on the right. The tavern served delicious food, and the service was just as impressive. This was one of our best stays in Greece, and we come two or three times a year. We highly recommend the hotel and will definitely return.

Breakfast had everything we could want, and there was a menu for anything else we fancied. The taverna was excellent, serving Greek classics with a more delicate, modern touch. We also nearly forgot the boutique, which has a very cute range of Greek contemporary designers and is easy to shop in. We loved our stay and thank the whole team for making it so good. The staff were gracious and helped with everything we needed while travelling with my 89-year-old father. Our standard room overlooked the port and was spotless, with everything we could need, including Molton Brown toiletries and even a scrubbing sponge to refresh your skin after a day in the sun. The pool area is stunning, and the beach has lovely deck chairs and lounges where you can nap right by the water. The sea was crystal clear, with hillside views and fun snorkeling among different kinds of fish. The hotel sits above a picturesque port with typical fishing boats, backed by the green mountains of the Athos peninsula. It's peaceful and picture perfect, and the walk along the seaside to the village is short and pretty. We hope to come back again ❤️
