Angelika Pallas Hotel

The restaurant was great, with extremely nice people, and we had an amazing, delicious breakfast at noon. The hotel itself is clean, very nice and conveniently located. We checked in around midnight, and the person who helped us was polite and helpful. But the woman working in the morning was very rude. At 10:55 she started calling and banging on the door, shouting that we had to check out right then. I asked for 15 more minutes, but she kept yelling that checkout was at 11 and we knew that. We didn't, though it can happen. I called to ask about the late checkout fee, and she said twelve euros for an hour, which I agreed to. When we came down to leave at 12, she was furious, as if we owed her something. Then she charged 20 euros. I politely said I'd heard her say twelve, and she shouted again that she'd told me twice it was 20, which wasn't true. Maybe there was a language barrier, but this isn't how a hotel should handle the situation. The hotel is great, but this woman doesn't know how to treat guests. Thank you!

The room was clean, though the door could seal a bit better for sound insulation. There's parking in an open area behind the hotel, and breakfast was standard. It's a simple but decent place to stay in Igoumenitsa, which is often a stop for ferry travel.

My ferry was cancelled, so I ended up staying for a day. The receptionist was very kind and looked after me. It was a nice stay.

Very poor service. The receptionist was rude, impatient and not polite at all. I booked one room for myself and paid in cash, then asked for a receipt in my name. The clerk made no effort to help. Every business should issue a receipt and invoice to customers who have paid. Why should I have to care what other people took? They don't know how to provide service. Don't go here.
