Hotel Boulgari

Ioannina is definitely worth visiting, and Hotel Boulgari made our stay lovely. There were four of us and we booked three rooms. Each was spacious, beautifully designed, very clean, and wonderfully warm during a seriously cold spell with temperatures below zero. The hotel's overall look is beautiful, and being in the old city made the location very convenient. The owner and all the staff were lovely, polite, and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast, especially the local options. Thank you for the warm hospitality. We can't wait to visit again!

The entrance door handle was already broken when we arrived, but later the owner accused us of breaking it and not reporting it soon enough. That was the last straw. I wouldn't recommend this place, as I felt the owner was trying to rip customers off. If you still decide to book, I'd strongly suggest doing it through the website and paying by card so you can protect yourself. We found the hotel at the last minute and booked by phone, which turned out to be a mistake. We were told it was fully booked, but later discovered we were the only guests. The room cost 120 euros per night. We initially booked one night, then stayed a second because we didn't want to move. The owner wouldn't accept card payment. The parking ticket was two years out of date, which could have caused us trouble if the police had noticed. When we asked for fresh bedding and towels for the second night, we were told there would be an extra 30 euros. In the end, they handed us the bedding and we had to change it ourselves. There was no coffee-making equipment in the room, which was disappointing and something I expected to be included. The breakfast options were poor, with fried eggs as the only cooked meal. On the second day, the woman serving us wasn't friendly and was nice only to my partner, which felt a bit strange.

A really clean hotel with amazing rooms and a lovely view. It's right in the heart of the Castle of Ioaninna.

The room had lots of space and a really unique feel. The location was amazing, and the customer service was top-notch.
