Yialos Ios Hotel

The homemade breakfast was a highlight, with lovely fresh local touches each morning. You can tell it’s made with care. Dimitris and his family were genuinely kind, always ready with useful island tips, and made us feel welcome in a very personal way. The rooms and facilities were spotless and comfortable, and the location was both peaceful and handy for the port, beach, and everything else we needed. We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Yalos in Ios, and would highly recommend it for the cleanliness, food, location, and hospitality.

We ended up spending more time at the pool than at the nearby beach, which says a lot about how much we enjoyed this beautiful family-run hotel. The owners were kind and hospitable, gave us ideas for places to go, and made sure our needs were taken care of. The rooms are somewhat small, but clean, comfortable, and nicely designed. Breakfast was great, the bar staff were lovely, and housekeeping was excellent. It’s also just a 3-5 minute walk from the port. We’d definitely return :)

The owners and staff were so caring and helpful. They made it easy to get advice on restaurants, day trips, and taxis at any time, and there’s even a little library where you can swap books. The pool had a lovely atmosphere, with towels and sunbeds provided. We visited at the end of September, and the saltwater was still warm. The lunch and snack menu was small but had what you needed. We stayed in Room 22, which had a lovely sitting room, kitchen area, great bathroom, two balconies, and an outdoor terrace. The kitchen was well equipped, and there was a nice L-shaped sofa. The air conditioning worked well, there was also a fan on the mezzanine, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The mezzanine stairs are unusual, though they could be difficult if you have trouble with stairs, and it’s definitely not suitable for kids. Breakfast was really good, with lots of homemade cakes and traditional Greek food. The yoghurt, honey, and fresh fruit were always delicious. The only slight downside was that the hot food wasn’t as hot as some people might like. Even when the hotel was busy, we could always find somewhere to sit. We went to the local beach twice, just a two-minute walk away. It’s a beautiful bay with warm sand and water and no stones, even with ferries coming in. Eating by the marina at night was lovely too, with lots of great restaurants. The hotel feels like an authentic stay in Ios, with boho Ibiza vibes. It’s spotless, inviting, and beautiful, and the location is perfect, about a two-minute walk from the port and beach. I even remarked to my husband how beautiful the building was as we approached, before realizing it was our hotel. It’s so much more than its three stars. I’ve stayed in some of the top 10 hotels in the world, and Yialos hotel blew us away. We can’t wait to return to Yialos Hotel very soon!

We chose this hotel for all our guests when we had our wedding at the iOS Club during the week, and everyone loved it. The staff were incredible, friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Our suite with the private pool was a dream: it was cleaned daily and the water stayed crystal clear. Breakfast was delicious and had a great selection. We had an amazing stay, and would definitely come back for a wedding or a luxurious getaway.
