Adamantia Hotel

Room 110 was very clean and tidy, with a balcony and air conditioning. The family running the hotel are kind and welcoming, and breakfast had enough variety to be satisfying. Unlimited coffee was a nice touch too. I don’t understand the mean comments about this place, and when I come back to Samos next summer, I’ll choose Adamantia again. It’s about a 10-minute drive to Pitagoria. Hotels in Ireon seem much the same, with a basic bed-and-breakfast setup. One small suggestion: a “do not disturb” sign would help. Without one, the cleaner knocks, which can wake you up, and that’s not always welcome on vacation.

Getting to Kokkari and Samos takes about 20 minutes by car if you rent one. The hotel itself is in a great spot, just a one-minute walk from the beach, eight minutes from the airport, and 12 minutes from a small town with a port. It’s a lovely little family-run place, and the host speaks many languages. She takes care of what you need and makes you feel at home right away.

The air conditioning in our room didn’t work, but they refused to move us to another room. We were sweating inside, and the balcony was cooler than the room. Air conditioning costs extra for each day you use it, and using the safe also comes with an extra charge. Not recommended.

The room Wi-Fi was very slow and weak. It worked well only in the reception area. Breakfast was very basic, and you can get a better one in the nearby town for £2-3.
