Posidon Bungalows

We spent two nights camping at Poseidon camping and had a great time. Our tent was right by the sea with a beautiful view, and the site felt cosy, with lots of lovely trees. The toilets and showers are old, but very clean, and the water was hot. The owner was friendly and easygoing. We'll come back!

I've been coming to this camping since 2008, and it used to be good value, with a nice beach and warm sea. But since last year the facilities have been disgusting, with broken toilets and taps and a horrible sewage smell. There's no mini market, coffee place or food, just a nearby beach bar with a few basic things to eat. It's extremely expensive for what's provided: 24€ for two people, a small tent and electricity, while other campgrounds in great parts of Greece with amazing facilities charge 16€. Last summer was my last time there.

The beach is marvelous, and I really enjoy staying here every year. Nikos, the manager, is friendly and helpful, and the owners are lovely people. The staff are friendly too, and the toilets and showers are clean. Still, some showers and toilets aren't kept in good working order. The campsite should also enforce its dog rules more strictly: signs should say dogs must be kept on a leash, and people must carry bags to pick up dog poop, as required in other EU countries. It would be nice to have the small minimarket back for basics like milk, juice and a few daily items.

Think glamping: peaceful, remote and clean. The bungalows are full-service apartments for an amazing price compared with anything similar in the USA. The beach is scenic and sandy, and only Posidon guests use it. The owners clearly take pride in the property and are remarkably hospitable. Don't miss the daily bakery truck or the coffee made to order!
