The owner is kind and courteous, and the staff are exceptionally friendly and do all they can to help. It’s a very nice, clean hotel in Kalamata. Highly recommended.

The room was decent, clean and had air conditioning. Noise from the hallway was the problem. We were in room 5 and could hear a lot of banging and thudding until 2 am, then it started up again around 6 in the morning.

There are plenty of coffee shops nearby, including some open 24/7, with breakfast and dinner options. Downstairs there’s a bar serving souvlaki and gyros, and the meat dishes there are delicious. The hotel itself was cleaner and better than I expected, and I think it’s underrated. The staff were very friendly. Giannis, who I was in touch with, took an interest in my travel plans and shared tips for getting to different places.

I booked two days at George hotel and confirmed the booking a week before my visit. When I turned up the night before, they said they’d given my room away because I hadn’t confirmed it again three days beforehand. I’ll never stay there again, so be careful. The food at Barbayiannis (Barbayiannis) under the hotel is great, though. Go there to eat, not to stay!
