Villa Vesta Retiré - Kalamata Mediterranean Villas

The hosts were welcoming and always there if we needed help, and the bed was super comfortable. Villa Vesta Retiré is right by the centre of Kalamata, with a 24-hour kiosk around the corner and plenty of cafés and restaurants close by. The patio is even larger than it looks in the photos, with great views, and you might spot a cat or two while sunbathing. There’s also a washing machine. Thanks for having us!

Breakfast was a big part of my stay, so here’s how it worked: I was travelling for work and chose the breakfast option, then ordered the day before on WhatsApp for the time I wanted. Eva called to let the delivery person in, and the system was convenient. The breakfast was plentiful and excellent. I stayed in a clean, modern first-floor apartment at Villa Vesta, with a comfortable bed and a bathroom that had a shower and everything I needed. It’s a 15-minute walk to the Megaron Dance Center and 30 minutes to the sea. You call ahead with your arrival time, and Eva welcomes you with a smile.

Check-in was coordinated perfectly. The penthouse is a great choice, with a huge terrace furnished with different kinds of garden furniture. The apartment is consistently clean and well maintained, with tasteful decor. It’s close to the centre, yet quiet enough for a holiday or a business trip.

The hostess was excellent, and the accommodation was tidy and clean. I highly recommend it.
