It was a good stay, and the rooms were clean, though too basic and in need of upgrades. There wasn't even a table on the balcony. Five stars for the staff, especially Anastacia from the restaurant and the person in the cafeteria!

The tour group chose this hotel for me. My room was clean and spacious, and several restaurants were only a short walk away. The breakfast buffet was good.

The outside of the building looks a bit old and unkempt, but inside the standards are very high. Rooms are clean and spacious, and some have a great view of the Meteora Rocks. Dinner was good but a little plain; breakfast was much better. The service was great as well. It's conveniently located close to the main street of Kalampaka, with its plazas, shops, cafes, and restaurants.

The rooms are terrible, and the shower is tiny. The beds are okay, but in a room for three there were only two proper beds; the third was a metal frame with a mattress. This hotel is not four stars by any means.

The hotel seemed determined to give us a nature experience. The toilet kept running, but after we mentioned the waste of water, they made sure it wouldn't flush at all. The shower floor was only half there, so we could help with the bathroom cleaning by getting the floor wet ourselves. Even the A/C only almost worked after three attempts to fix it, so we got to use the beautiful natural ventilation instead. They also wanted us to use our own towels because hotel towels are rougher. I'd forgotten mine, but they kindly brought me one when I asked. And when we told reception how unworthy we were of such a wonderful room, they graciously moved us to another. Its shower was so small we could still help with the cleaning, which seemed necessary. Breakfast was amazing: the orange juice was just the way I like it, water, and the bread was hard enough to dent the table. I took a piece with me so I wouldn't be unarmed. This may once have been a four-star hotel, but in my heart it's always a five-star place, one star shining through the curtain because we had only one of the two blackout curtains.
