Rina's House Meteora

The garden is nice, the service was nice, and the location is convenient, with parking. But this is an old house, not really a hotel or hostel. We booked at the last minute with a small dog, and it was -4 outside. I was surprised that the rooms only had airconditioning, and our apartment felt cold. There was no heater in the bathroom, so we couldn't take a bath. There also isn't a proper kitchen for making a meal, just a sink and mini stove on a wooden shelf in the hall, with no microwave or oven. The living room has been turned into two bedrooms, so the only place to sit and eat is in the bedroom.

The host was wonderful and really helpful with suggestions. They gave very detailed directions and explained where to eat and shop, as well as what we needed to know about the room.

The house was incredibly clean, and the host was friendly. It’s about a 5 minute drive from the center, but even with Google Maps we found getting in and out of the property's location difficult. Though advertised as a two-bedroom house, it’s basically one bedroom with the living room turned into a second one, so there’s no living room. The kitchen is only about 3 feet long, enough for simple food.

Four days before we were due to arrive, we were told that the room we’d booked weeks earlier had been given to someone else. That was already a serious letdown, and the owner who dealt with us didn’t apologize or show concern about the disruption. She simply said there was nothing she could do. We were deeply disappointed with [hotel name], especially by the dismissive response. This kind of handling felt unprofessional and unacceptable.
