Athoniki Villas

The view is wonderful, and the villas are especially lovely around the pool. The rooms and kitchen are good too, though there may not be enough pots for seven or eight people, and ants often show up. I'd definitely recommend Athoniki Villas for a holiday in Rhodes.

It's easy to get around from Lindos and reach some lovely beaches. The air conditioning isn't great, but it's okay, and the place was generally clean.

The view from this lovely villa was magnificent, and the pool area was nice, though giant wasps swarmed over the grass. We arrived to find the villa not ready and had to wait. There were few cooking tools, but the bedrooms and beds were comfortable. Bring washing-up liquid, a cloth, and your own toilet paper. Small ants were all through the house and ruined a lot of our food, which was disappointing.

The villa was modern, but upkeep was below standard. Two lights were out when we arrived; they fixed them quickly and let us know when the work was done while we were away. The lighting in the living room was confusing, and we never worked out how to turn it on properly. One shower door in the main bedroom was shattered, the house was poorly lit at night, and the Wi-Fi had weak reception and was slow or unusable most of the time. They said a few times that someone would come to fix it, but nobody did. The kitchen had only one outlet, so we had to alternate between the kettle and toaster. Getting in was a struggle too. Agoda didn't show the address, and when we found the place there was no reception. The contact number on Agoda was wrong, and other numbers we found online didn't work. We eventually reached someone using a number we found, and they sent a person to open the villa about 30 minutes later, while we were waiting in the hot sun. Two days later another German couple had the same problem, and we helped them get in touch with the villa representatives. The stay wasn't awful, but we've had much better villa experiences elsewhere on the island. I won't be coming back.
