Avoid this hotel. We didn’t get to use the spa or have the breakfast, both of which were part of why we chose this accommodation, and we never saw the reception open. In the executive suite, the living room smelled like cat pee, while the bedroom smelled of dust and dirt. The receptionist didn’t speak any English, not even “hello.” She handed us a post-it with the amount to pay, then said, “no cash no card.” After 25 minutes of negotiating, she accepted our Booking guarantee to pay by card. We never received any kind of receipt, which is illegal in Greece. When we left, she didn’t say hello or anything, just, “THE KEY ON DOOR?” Please don’t spend a euro there, it’s a scam!

The suites are lovely, with stone walls, a fireplace, and a Jacuzzi, and the resort sits in a very nice spot between two mountains. That’s about all the good I can say. On our first morning, a rockfall blocked the main road. The landlord said there was another way around, but it was what we’d call a “goat road” in Greece, not passable by a normal car without damage. We took it to get to Kalavryta and had a nice day there. When we returned around 5pm, the main road was still blocked, and we were told it couldn’t be cleared before late Sunday. We were afraid to take the back road into town again. The restaurant had closed before 9, leaving us nothing to do. Nice place, bad hospitality. Hope you’re lucky enough to avoid a rockfall.

The owner shouted at guests and was rude, just one big disaster. The room was dirty and full of smoke, with no wardrobe or anywhere to put our clothes. The fireplace didn’t work either. I’d give it a big fat zero if I could. It feels like a scam, and I’d recommend avoiding it if you can.

Really beautiful place, with very friendly staff. The wood throughout the hall gives it a lovely atmosphere.
