The place has potential, and the stone buildings are new, but the value for money made this a mediocre stay. We were there for two nights, and the towels and sheets weren’t changed. We had to ask for fireplace wood, even though there were radiators. Our room had a very low ceiling and a low beam that my 6ft4in (1.90cm) friend had to duck under. The WiFi wasn’t working for our whole stay, supposedly because it had mysteriously stopped the day before we arrived. The gorge location meant there was almost no signal outside and none indoors. It’s about 4 km outside of Kalavrita. The location wasn’t bad, and one of the apartments we rented had just been built, but the last 200 meters are an unpaved dirt road. This could easily get 5 stars if the issues I mentioned were addressed.

A lovely, quiet place for a holiday in winter or summer, and suitable for families too. The house is close to the river and just four minutes from the center, with a great view of the mountains and forest. The owner is very warm and offered lots of ideas for things to see and do in Kalavryta. The house was amazing and clean.

The location is ideal if you want peace and time to relax. We spent Christmas week here and had an amazing time. The rooms were comfortable and warm, and the facility was wonderful. The owners were kind and hospitable, and helped with anything we needed, even at the last minute.

The house is comfortable and nice for seven people, and the location is amazing. Getting there was less pleasant: the road is dirt, and after rain it wasn’t in great shape. The windows don’t open, so the house couldn’t be aired out. When we opened the door for fresh air, flies came in because there was no screen. The equipment also lacked two basic things, a toaster and a hair dryer. For a house aimed at families with children, not having a toaster is unacceptable.
