Esperides Beach Resort

The room key cards were a constant hassle. They kept failing, so nearly every day we had to cross the whole hotel to get replacements, often carrying our toddler and beach things. A technician finally came on day eight, but the problem still wasn't fixed. We also heard plenty of noise from the hallway, and evening entertainment went on loudly until about 10:30 PM. That made it hard for our child to sleep, and we couldn't leave the balcony door open. We stayed for ten days at the end of May with our 1-year-and-10-month-old. The hotel was good value for the price, and we had a pleasant visit despite those issues. The staff were friendly and worked hard to keep everything clean and comfortable. Housekeeping did an impressive job, bringing clean sheets and fresh towels every day. The grounds were lovely and well kept, especially the shaded lawn between the beach and children's pool. That pool was nice for families, although it was very cold in late May, especially when it was windy. Our modern, comfortable room had a side view of the sea and beautiful mountains. The food selection was wide and generally tasty, but toddler-friendly choices were limited. We missed simple options such as plain rice, potatoes, or steamed vegetables without salt or spices, so feeding our child could be difficult. The beach didn't work well for our child either: its dark gray sand mixed with stones felt more like dusty dirt, and the playground had the same surface. The hotel is about 20 minutes by taxi from the airport. We arranged a transfer through Booking in advance, which was convenient. Booking directly on the hotel's website was significantly cheaper than Booking.

The kids club made a big impression on us. The team were kind, caring, and full of energy, and my son loved going every day. We also had a great time at Esperides Beach Resort, helped along by a room upgrade that made the stay more comfortable. It's a family-friendly place with good facilities and a lovely feel. We found the spa a wonderful spot to unwind. It was easy to explore the island too, with a car rental agency and a petrol station right beside the hotel. The staff were welcoming and attentive throughout. We'd definitely come back, and I'd recommend it to families.

The all-inclusive drink selection was broad, but the drinks themselves weren't very good. Outside meal times, the food choices could be better too. There was no dairy-free ice cream, the same three whole fruits appeared every day, and popcorn was only available from 3 to 5 PM. Our family room also felt small for a larger room. That said, the resort was clean and well maintained, with lots of facilities. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, especially about our dietary needs during meals. The pools were great, particularly the children's pool, which worked well even for our 1-year-old. One odd detail in the room was the shower, which was unusually low, probably around 1.1 metres, and not very useful.

We had lots to do during the day, and the evening shows gave us something fun to enjoy too. On my birthday, the team surprised me with a lovely card and a delicious cake. It was a thoughtful touch that made the day feel special. At Esperides Family Resort, the room was modern, spotless, and comfortable, with a breathtaking sea view that made mornings feel magical. The food was beautifully presented and full of flavour, with every meal feeling like a fine restaurant. From the moment we arrived, the staff were welcoming and attentive. Their service stayed friendly and professional throughout, always with a smile. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend it as a place to relax and celebrate with family.
