GHotels Macedonian Sun

At nearly €100 a night, I expected more than a clean room and a nice bed. The rooms have no Wi-Fi, and even the reception connection was unreliable or unusable in the evenings. There were no outlets near the beds, and bathroom amenities listed on the website weren't provided. It was also difficult to get a beach towel since the hotel only had around 20-25 of them. Breakfast ended at 9:30 and was horrible. It was the worst juice I've had, and the fried egg tasted like dish soap. The hotel's website says direct bookings include a bottle of wine worth €25 with dinner at "il basilico." After we tried to claim it, nobody knew the restaurant. We eventually found it tucked away in another hotel, but nobody there knew about the voucher either. After we complained at the macedonian sun hotel and made a few phone calls, they offered a €6 discount per person instead, regardless of what the website says. That felt like lying to and tricking customers. Avoid the hotel.

The surroundings are beautiful, but the Wi-Fi is basically unavailable throughout the place, and the air conditioning settings can't be changed. It never drops below about 23-24 degrees Celsius, which is really annoying and is why I gave the hotel 3 out of 5.

The room was pretty ordinary and furnished in an old style. The blankets are wool, so they can make you itchy at night :). The staff weren't very polite, and the internet was really poor, only available in the lobby. The room lights also worked in a strange way.

A lovely spot to unwind, whether you're on your own, traveling as a couple, or with family. The beach is clear and warm, and the facilities and service are great.
