Istron Bay Villas

The sea and bay views are stunning, and they were the main reason I chose Istron Bay Hotel over the other places nearby. Our stay was wonderful, and I’m already looking forward to returning. The service was excellent throughout, with a team that paid attention to the details. Odysseas deserves a special mention for making the visit especially memorable, and the catering staff were great too. I’d highly recommend the beach restaurant for its delicious food. A reliable Wi-Fi connection would be a useful improvement. It’s nice to disconnect for a few days, but real life doesn’t stop, so good internet would help. Thanks to everyone at Istron Bay Hotel for making us feel comfortable and welcome.

The bay beach was magical, and the room view made up for a lot. We spent seven amazing nights here and were generally satisfied. The rooms were clean and spacious, but a little dated, with heavily used furniture. Breakfast and dinner were amazing, though there were no small labels on the food, so we couldn’t tell what we were eating. The bar and à la carte restaurant were extremely overpriced. They also have a car rental with good prices and newer, clean cars. We met some of the nicest people here, and getting around Crete by car was easy. The location is perfect, with everything close by.

We had a really good time here. Our couple’s room had a beautiful balcony and sea view, a 10/10, and the place was quiet. The beach is amazing, breakfast was very nice, and we also liked the beach restaurant. The price felt fair and the staff were lovely. The only catch was that we got two single beds pushed together.

The view and setting are what make a stay here pleasant and romantic, and the staff are friendly. The hotel and rooms were always clean. There was enough variety in the food to keep a five-day stay from feeling boring. It’s a decent hotel for the price, though I definitely wouldn’t call it five-star, so keep expectations in check. Much of the furniture, especially in the rooms, feels dated and needs renovation. The bathroom fixtures are old too, and the shower and bathtub area had poor water flow. It has some five-star features, but plenty that feel closer to a 3+, so I’d give it a solid four.
