The roof terrace has beautiful views and is great for sunbathing. We stayed as three people for a couple of weeks, from September into October, and enjoyed experiencing the real Crete. The hosts, Mike and Maria, are warm, friendly, and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. You’ll need a car, though there’s tons of parking. Small supermarkets and tavernas are about a five-minute drive away, and the location works well for exploring eastern Crete. The essentials are provided, including internet access, but WiFi isn’t free. That wasn’t a big issue for a getaway in Greece. The toilet and shower facilities were enough for our small family group, though small, and getting to the roof terrace could be difficult for anyone with walking problems.

We spent a month at Michalis's with the whole family and really enjoyed our stay. The hosts are very welcoming, and the location is great. The beach below is a five-minute drive away, with a small, inexpensive cafe/bar where the souvlaki was delicious.
