The bathroom shower was broken from the start, which made something as basic as washing my hair very difficult. At the end of our second stay this summer, the host said we had broken a sunbed and demanded €55, though it was already broken when we arrived and we never used it. That felt completely unreasonable. This review is only about Milthiadis’s houses. Mikiverna Village itself is lovely and peaceful, and I’d recommend it for a family holiday. We stayed in these houses for two years in a row, 2024 and 2025, because we liked the village so much. We had problems and unpleasant treatment on the first visit, but gave it another try the next year. That was a big mistake. The houses are poorly maintained and not clean. The furniture is old and worn, which wouldn’t be such an issue if the place were clean. The host also showed little hospitality or professionalism. On our first stay, we politely asked to arrive before 3:00 p.m. because we were traveling with a one-year-old who needed a nap. It was mid-June and there were no guests before us, but he charged €60 for early check-in. The cancellation terms are rigid and unfair. Traveling with children can mean illness or sudden changes, so some flexibility matters. His policy gives no refund, even a partial one, if you cancel within a certain period before arrival. He also requires full payment when you arrive, and if anything happens during your stay, there’s still no refund. There’s no option to reschedule either. So don’t let our experience put you off visiting Mikiverna Village, but take care choosing where you stay and who hosts you. We won’t be returning to Milthiadis’s houses next season.
