The room was spacious, though the Booking photos for “sea view” and “city view” may give a misleading impression. The position is great, just a few steps from the sea, port and restaurants. It’s a cheap solution in a great spot and good for the price, but the bathroom is very small, the shower almost nonexistent, and the air conditioning is noisy.

Flora at To Steno was so kind and welcoming, and brought us delicious homemade treats each morning. She even let us leave our bags with her until our ferry left later that day. Our room was clean and nice, less than a minute from the port, but still quiet. The only downside was that it looked onto the mountain rather than offering a sea view. Since the beach and sea were so close, that wasn’t really a problem for us.

Flora, the manager, is the sweetest, always smiling and ready to help with whatever you need. To Steno is a great option for a lovely, inexpensive stay in Kamares. Everything is within walking distance, including restaurants, a supermarket and the beach. The rooms are quiet and very clean, with everything you need, even a fridge, and they have nice, spacious balconies. I highly recommend it.

We had a really good experience, and Sofia was very nice. We booked through Booking. It took us a little while to find reception, so if you have the same trouble, go down the small street between Pipis bakery and Pipis cafe, then call Sofia. The photos help.
