Hermes Hotel

We just got back from two weeks and absolutely loved our stay. Billy and Sergio were fantastic, always ready to go above and beyond. The room was great, with a sea view, and kept immaculately clean every day. Breakfast was good and had plenty of choice. It’s a brisk 20-minute walk into the resort, though there are no pavements, or you can take the €2 bus. There’s a good bus service to Skiathos town. I’d recommend the hotel, but not for elderly guests, as the climb up from the road is steep. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable.

The breakfast could use some work. There wasn’t much choice at the buffet, and the serving area felt very cramped. Still, it’s a nice hotel, with spacious, well-kept rooms and a balcony where we had good views across the countryside. It’s about a 10-minute walk to Kolios Beach, and bus stop 13 is nearby. The driveway up is short but very steep. The pool is really nice, with sunbeds and parasols.

There’s a supermarket and restaurant nearby, but for pretty much everything else you have to walk along the road with no path. The rooms were clean, though basic, and the beds were really uncomfortable.

The pool is great, with excellent sunbeds and a bar. Bus stop 13 is close, with services running up and down the island, and there are three beaches within a 10-minute walk. The owner is partway through refurbishing the rooms, and the sink and hob are due to be removed over the winter. The rooms are large, with a good-sized balcony over the woodland, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were very friendly. Breakfast was the same every day, and everyone was always scrambling for the one toaster. If the owner wants to make the evening dining area more inviting, cushions on the seats and replacing the strip lights would help.
