We felt right at home on this beautiful island, thanks to Despoina and Manolis, who were genuinely kind and helpful. The accommodations were clean, practical, and nicely decorated, and the hotel is well placed near the sea and in the middle of Kefalonia. Our best summer holiday experience so far. We'd absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Kefalonia.

Breakfast at Kalypso was a highlight, especially Despina’s homemade marmalade. Our apartment was spotless and cleaned daily, and Despina and her family made us feel so welcome, always going out of their way to make the stay special. She also arranged boat trips and shared suggestions for local places to eat. We had an amazing time and will certainly return. Ged & Rachelle.

Despina and her family made the place feel friendly and homely, and it was easy to get to know the other guests. She was kind and helpful, with plenty of ideas for places to eat and trips, and nothing seemed too much trouble. Breakfast comes in small (€6) and large (€9) options, which you choose the night before and Despina has ready for you. The apartments were spotless and comfortable, with everything I needed, including a full-size fridge and plenty of hot water. The gardens are lovely, the pool is in excellent condition, and there's a spacious, comfortable area for meals and drinks. It's next to a bakery and about a 15-20 minute walk along the beach path to Sami. I'd happily recommend it and hope to come back. Thank you for everything. 😄

The building's location worked really well for exploring Kefalonia. There's a beach about a five-minute walk away, Sami is around 15 minutes on foot with more beaches and lots of restaurants, and most of the island can be reached by car in about an hour. Despina and Manolis were warm, kind hosts, available for much of the day. We had lovely chats and got lots of tips on beaches, food, and nearby sights. Our room had what we needed for a small apartment, with great air-conditioning and modern fittings. The whole bright building was exceptionally clean and well organized, with a simple design we liked. Window screens kept mosquitoes out, which was a big plus since many places we've stayed in Greece didn't have them. If we return to Kefalonia, we'll stay with Despina and Manolis again. Thanks for a wonderful visit!
