For a basic, no-frills stay, the hotel did the job, though nothing really stood out. I booked just one night at the last minute and didn’t feel it was good value for money. A longer booking might work out differently, but I wouldn’t have wanted to stay more than a night or two. Check-in was quick and easy, and the guys running the place were very friendly. The location is handy, about a ten-minute walk to Kardamena’s shops, bars, and restaurants, with the beach a little farther on through the main shopping area. There’s a path that avoids the main road, but it has no lights and is pitch black at night. The room was clean enough but very dated. The bed was uncomfortably firm, and there was just one very thin pillow, so I didn’t sleep well. The bathroom was small and clean, but the tiny window made it hot and humid. The shower pressure was good, though the head was so small washing my hair felt like it took forever. The toilet is basically in the shower, so the bathroom gets soaked. The pool area was clean and had enough loungers, but they weren’t comfortable enough for me to spend hours there. They offer basic breakfast and lunch, plus an evening BBQ. I didn’t try the food, just the coffee, which was fine. Nothing was awful, but it was an average stay.

What stayed with me most was how welcome everyone made us feel. It’s a family run place, and Aikos, Nikos, and Yanni had a natural way of making guests feel like family. They were around most during our week, and could advise on beaches, places to eat, and current events like parties. I’m spelling those names by sound, so apologies if I’ve got them wrong. Everyone was generous and warm, a lovely example of Greek hospitality. thank you! I especially liked breakfast by the pool beneath the grape vines, chatting with Aikos. The club sandwich, omelette, and fresh orange juice were all worth recommending. The everyday basics were good too: clean rooms with daily housekeeping, a clean pool, tasty food at normal prices, good air conditioning, and a working fridge. The center and beach are within walking distance, though it’s not the closest spot, still just a short walk. Great value for the money. One small directions tip: Google Maps sends you down a path that’s actually a car street. Keep left and follow the path that cuts straight through the curve, as shown in the last attachment.

Angelina is a nice place, clean and safe, and I found it good value for money. The pool and bar both looked clean and safe too. I was welcomed warmly, and the location suited me since I like walking, though the route is a bit off track and may not suit anyone who has trouble getting around. It’s basic, so don’t expect luxury. The room could use some care, especially the bathroom: the shower curtain rail was coming off the wall, the shower head was broken and wouldn’t stay on the wall, and the window screen was torn and flapping in the wind. Twin beds would be useful, and the sheets could have been cleaner. This was a very last minute trip, I booked the flight at 9pm Thursday and flew at 7am Friday. Angelina is a little outside town, but has a nice location.

A real little gem, with amazing food and lovely scenery. The location was perfect, just a 10 minute walk from town, and the pool was basically empty.

The family running this hotel gave us a lovely welcome and were friendly, happy to chat, and ready to answer our questions about the area. The rooms were very clean and had everything we needed. We also loved the pool and the bar, where they served very good cocktails and homemade traditional dishes made with fresh ingredients.
