JP Pool & Apartments

We got excellent value staying just before the busy season. The pool has plenty of loungers and umbrellas, and the food there is good without being expensive. Our room had a huge, comfortable bed, very cold air conditioning, and a balcony. There’s also a small kitchen, handy if you want to save money by making your own meals. It’s about a five-minute walk to the centre, but the street is quiet, so noise wasn’t a problem.

We stayed in the superior apartment above the snack bar and had no noise issues. The pool gets sun all day, there are enough loungers, and the bean bag seats have become my new favourite. We’ll definitely book again. Everything was exceptionally clean, the air conditioning worked brilliantly, and the snack bar served really nice fresh food with drinks well stocked. Konstantina was great with the service, and the owner was always cleaning around the pool. You’re less than two minutes from everything. The supermarkets are right out front, while the main bars and restaurants are one or two streets out the back. Honestly, I couldn’t find anything to fault.

The beds were really comfortable, though the furniture looked a bit worn. The room itself was nice and in a quiet part of Kardemena. We couldn’t use the pool because it needed cleaning, but as we were only there for one day, that didn’t bother us much. We still enjoyed the sunbeds around it.

We booked two nights but left after the first. After an emergency hospital visit on a nearby island, all we wanted was to get some sleep, but the arrival was a mess. We had sent lots of messages explaining how we were travelling and when we’d arrive. Still, the place was dark when we got there, nobody was waiting, and there was no clear reception. Our taxi driver had to call the owner to find out how we could get into the room. We waited outside on the steps for quite a while before getting a key. We were also given the wrong breakfast time and nobody told us where breakfast was. We didn’t use the pool because it closed early, at 6pm. Management’s poor service was very disappointing.
