Philippos Studios & Apartments

The room is simple but clean, with a kitchenette, balcony and small bathroom, and it's excellent value for money. It's on a quiet street at the edge of town, a stone's throw from the sea. We felt right at home, thanks to Philipos, who's so friendly and welcoming.

We stayed at Philippos Apartments from 17-24 June. The location is excellent, in a quiet part of Kardamena and only about 10 metres from the beach. You can reach lots of tavernas with great food in five minutes on foot. Everything we needed was in the apartment. We don't cook on vacation, so we didn't need the cooking appliances, and mostly used the fridge for a watermelon and some medicines. The rooms were cleaned daily, which you don't even get at expensive resorts. The apartments are clean, well maintained and spacious, with a great balcony view. Breakfast was delicious, and the pool was in great shape with lots of sunbeds. Philippos is a wonderful host who does everything he can to make guests comfortable. He's also great with kids, sometimes giving them juice, ice cream or snacks for free. When we needed something for breakfast one day, he went to the market without us even noticing. We recommend the place for its cleanliness, easy access, room size, breakfast and Philippos's care in making the holiday enjoyable.

We found this little gem behind the apartments where we were staying, and only used the pool and cafe, so that's all I can comment on. Philippos is such a friendly host and does everything he can to make your time by the pool enjoyable. We had lunch there a few times, with a good range of quality food and drinks. The pool area and pool were spotless, and it's a good size for cooling off after a long morning in the sun. There's an outdoor shower and toilets too, both very clean.

The beds were comfortable, and having a little kitchen in the room was handy. The bathroom felt a bit cramped, though, as Greek bathrooms often do. It’s a quiet spot close to good restaurants and useful shops, and the staff are so friendly. They’ll help with things like an extra pillow, arranging a rental car, or suggesting places to see around the island. You can book directly with the property instead of going through an agent.
