Electra Beach Hotel

I booked through Booking three months ahead, then the hotel canceled just 10 days before our trip, saying it wasn't open. That wasn't true, the hotel was operating normally. After canceling, they stopped responding and didn't offer another option. Completely unprofessional.

The location was handy, just a short walk to Pigadia center, restaurants, shops, and a supermarket, with parking outside and on nearby streets. Our stay was nice and the service was good. The room was clean and had what we needed; I'd recommend getting one with an ocean view. A couple of things to know: hallway noise carries straight through the very thin doors, though we didn't have noisy neighbors. The bathroom could be better. It was small, and unless the door was shut all the way, it swung open and hit your knees. The shower itself was good, with no visible dirt or mold. For the medium price, it was a good hotel.

There isn't enough shade over the sunbeds, and they're old and make a lot of noise when moved. The lawns are completely worn out, so when it's windy, which seems to be most of the time, there's dust.

The pool was large and pleasant, though it uses seawater, and the hotel's bar and restaurant were good but quite expensive. The hotel itself is average by Greek standards, neither particularly big nor small. Breakfast was really poor compared with many other hotels, the worst I've had anywhere in Greece. The ants were the biggest problem. One night I woke up to literally hundreds of them all over the room, including our luggage. I was quite scared we'd take them home. I told the staff in the morning, and they treated the room, but ants were still in the room and our bags for the rest of the holiday.
