Mountain House

We found this hotel when we came for a wedding, and it was wonderful in summer. The hospitality was great, and the staff were all ready to help us with any difficulties. We didn’t have an iron or hair dryer, but they were willing to assist. I can imagine it being just as lovely in winter, and we’ll definitely come back then. Idyllic!

Impeccable, spotlessly clean rooms, a perfect breakfast, and a great price. Ms. Roula’s service and hospitality deserve five stars. We’ll definitely choose this place again!

The place is surrounded by greenery, as I’ve mentioned before, but this time the owner’s manner was abrupt. We’re customers, not euros. Our room had no view or amenities, and the furniture and decor were old. There was no breakfast, no cleaning, and no outdoor lighting at night. The location is remote, yet the price was almost the same as central hotels for that period. Worst of all was the owner’s rudeness and arrogance. I wonder why the review scale doesn’t even offer a zero for cases like this.

Ms. Roula was willing to help, and ready to give us advice about the area and ski resort. The attic where our family stayed was nice, the heating was good, and the three-night price was reasonable. I’d give the breakfast buffet 7 out of 10. There was no receipt, though. The guesthouse seems to have been built with care, but now it looks neglected and needs some attention. The grounds outside aren’t worth much. The sink or bathtub draining a lot of water caused it to come up through the drain grate, and the basin lid was loose. The plasterboard walls let us hear everything from the neighbors. I hope the owners take this review in good faith, as that’s the only way things can improve.
