Karystos Mare Apartments

I had a very pleasant stay and will try to book a room here whenever I’m in karystos. It’s a comfortable, sweet, straightforward two-star hotel, with a luxury feel without being pretentious. The room was spacious, well lit, and constantly clean, with regular housekeeping. Everything felt new and worked well. There’s a very comfortable bed, a big wardrobe, a desk, a makeup table, TV, AC, and a large balcony with room for several people to eat or have drinks. The room door is heavy and feels very secure, and the sound isolation is effective. The bathroom was clean and had a bathtub. I never felt cramped or as if I had to put up with a run-down place. The kitchenette is genuinely well equipped, with a coffee maker, kettle, saucepans, mixer, plates, bowls, a salad bowl, cutlery, and serving spoons. It also has a compact, efficient stove and oven with an exhaust fan. A wastebasket in the room would be handy, since there was one in the bathroom and one in the kitchenette. An extension cord would help with plugging in the kettle and coffee maker, and a hook for the shower handle would be useful. The main thing I missed was a safe for passports and money. There wasn’t one in the room or at reception. Luckily, I had friends staying in other places. Not having a safe is a burden for both guests and staff. Anna is friendly, intelligent, willing to help, low key, and communicates well in English. Thanks for a very pleasant stay.
