There’s plenty nearby, from bakeries and cafés to bars, restaurants, and the lake. The property is right behind Doltso Square, and although there may not be an official parking lot, we never had trouble finding a space. The yard, balcony, terrace, and view were all fantastic. Our hosts were kind and ready to answer questions or help.

The room was fully equipped and spotlessly clean, and parking was easy. There’s also a lovely courtyard with a great feel to it. The location is convenient.

Set on the old town’s south side, it’s a lovely spot close to the best restaurants and the waterfront shops. The Byzantine museum of Kastoria is about a ten-minute walk away. I liked the garden downstairs for breakfast or a drink, and the upstairs balcony has a wide-open lake view. The rooms aren’t very large, but you can make coffee or tea. It’s a clean place that feels like staying as a guest in a Kastoria home.
