Kolona Studios

The location near the sea was very good, but we were relieved to find somewhere else to stay. The family was nice, though the woman who owns and manages the studios was horrible. Cooking there is hard too, since the kitchen has no equipment, not even a sponge, soap, or salt. Check the bad reviews on AirBnb or Booking from other travelers.

The studio was roomy enough and had several pieces of furniture. The ceiling fan handled the early September weather well, and we got good value for the price. Still, the hard beds were a downside, and the kitchen was short of basics: salt, a sponge, dish soap, a plastic spoon, cutting board, proper knife, and a bin beyond the little bathroom one would help. The place is only 50m from the beach, near a small cove with calmer water. There’s plenty of parking and an outdoor shower to rinse off. We could move between the two terraces depending on the wind. Reception was straightforward and helpful, with good advice and someone available if we had a problem. Housekeeping came once during our 6-night stay. A few simple improvements would make it more comfortable.

The bay view is beautiful, and the family is really friendly. Grandma Kolona's food was delicious, so we ate there every other evening. Everything tasted very good and seemed cooked with love. The rooms and beds are basic, and the kitchen doesn’t have much for someone like me who enjoys cooking.
