Amorgion Village

The owner has such a warm, joyful way about him that you feel welcome right away. You arrive as a guest and leave feeling like part of the family, thanks a million. Even with the city nearby, the place has a peaceful, tucked away feel and fantastic views from the rooms. The rooms are luxurious, with a modern pool, and there are fresh desserts and the chef's unique cuisine, plus cocktails made with wines from the area.

The hosts' hospitality was unrivalled. I couldn't fault it. The rooms are simple and practical, but have everything you need. It's peaceful and quiet far enough from the port, yet close enough to feel like you're still there. Chora is only a short drive away.

Breakfast was very good. I'd recommend the yogurt with fresh fruit and honey! The staff were super friendly, and we really enjoyed our stay. The place has about ten rooms in small buildings, and feels like a quiet oasis despite being around 15 minutes from Katapola port. There's nothing around, so it seems much farther away. The staff picked us up and dropped us off. We had a junior suite with a lovely poolside terrace. I wouldn't really call it a suite, though: it was basically a standard hotel room with a bed, dresser, and desk. The kitchenette was just a mini fridge and electric kettle. The bed was a little hard, and they don't clean the room unless you ask. Still, the overall feeling was perfect, so I'd give it five stars.

At the end of May 2025, a friend and I spent a few days at Amorgion Village. The staff were very friendly, and it was calm throughout. The manager was attentive and happy to chat in several languages. Our rooms were beautiful and comfortable, nestled in the Katapola hills with a view over the port. Breakfast was good, and I highly recommend the place.
