For the quality of the accommodation, the price was very low. I was also pleased with the room: a good size, a very comfortable bed and excellent reading lights. Mine was listed as a partial sea view, but I thought the view was excellent. We only stayed a couple of nights, and it was a real treat. Katapola is a lovely base, with good beaches within walking distance. For trips farther away, the cars available to hire through the same family business were clean and good, and the prices were excellent.

There’s a fair climb up to the rooms, but the magnificent view over Katapola makes the effort worthwhile. The rooms were lovely, meticulously clean and well maintained, and the staff were friendly and quick to help.

Christos met us at the port and helped carry some of our luggage. The rooms were clean and quiet, with comfortable beds, working air conditioning that didn’t blow toward the bed, and balconies looking over Katapola’s port and bay. WiFi worked well, and they also offer good cars at very good prices. It’s a family-run hotel we highly recommend. There are stairs to climb, but it’s all worth it. The walk up from the port takes two to three minutes. It must be the top place to stay in Katapola.

Lili took such good care of us and gave us great recommendations. We also loved meeting Stefano. Our Cycladic home felt cozy, and the place was cute and traditional, as well as clean and comfortable. We had an incredible stay at the Big Blue Amorgos and will definitely be back. Highly recommend it.
