A great choice for a large group, with comfortable, luxurious villas, lovely views, and everything well maintained. You'll need to rent a small car to get up there, and the roads become very narrow on the hill.

We had a quiet, pleasant week in a beautiful, well-equipped villa with stunning views. The two houses are identical and sit in the mountains above Katastari beach, just as shown on the Artemis Villas homepage. They're quite new and have everything you might need, plus fast, stable WiFi throughout, reliable hot water, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and a safe feel. Nothing was broken or in poor condition. The cleaning service was attentive and a nice extra. The large pool was lovely, though it was quite cold after the regular season. The sun disappeared behind the mountain at 4 PM, so it might be refreshing in high season. Finding the drive up was a little tricky and almost adventurous, but once there, the place felt more luxurious than expected. A friendly cat came by regularly, and there was lots of wildlife. Some of it was less welcome, especially the roosters calling at different times overnight and the dogs joining in, though we got used to it quickly. We did wish the bedrooms had decent curtains or shutters to block out the light.
