Panorama Studios and Apartments

The owners and staff were so friendly and helpful, and their Greek night was the best we've experienced across all our trips to Greece. The apartments sit quietly at the edge of the Alykes salt flats, in a convenient spot, and were kept beautifully clean. There were plenty of beds around the pool. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

We chose Panorama Studios for the exotic bird life advertised by the salt flats across the road, but found mostly Black Winged Stilts and a couple of Egrets. I'd never seen BWS in the UK, at least, so I can tick that one off. It's a 15-minute stroll into town and the restaurants, and a good, clean bolt hole if that's what you're after. We spent eight nights chilling out in June 2025. Our room and the communal areas were very clean, though some pool-area tiles need proper repair. We had lunch there almost every day and it was delicious most of the time, around €30 for two with drinks. The pizza wasn't to my taste because the base wasn't right. We also had a very good full English breakfast on our last morning. Staff were consistently friendly and polite. In early June there was no scramble for sunbeds, and they were wiped down during our stay. There was a Greek night with a BBQ, which we skipped because one Greek night feels much like another to us. They also run bingo and a quiz on other evenings, if that's your thing.

Alykes was a real pleasure, with bars, tavernas and shops, while still being one of the quieter parts of the island. We especially liked eating at Fidelio and Asteria, and getting coffee from Enigma. Big thanks to Nikos, our Jet2 Resort Customer Helper, who was pleasant and helpful when booking our Greek Boat Cruise and Sunset Minibus Tour. We'd certainly return to Zakynthos. Our Panorama apartments studio, booked through Jet2, wasn't quite what we expected because it didn't look like the photos on Jet2. It was basic, with a two-ring hob, a small shower, and air conditioning for an extra €60 for the week, though the apartment information did mention the charge. Since we spent most days at the beach or touring the island, it worked fine for a relaxing holiday. The bed was comfy, there was a fridge and a balcony with a lovely mountain view. Staff kept the room clean and supplied fresh bedding and towels, so it was comfortable for a budget stay.

Sunday Greek night is fantastic, with a BBQ, Greek dancers, plate smashing, a fire and more.
