Corfu 9 Musses

A small, family-run hotel that felt so welcoming. The host was incredibly kind, and everything was pleasant and very clean. It's only about 10 metres from the beach. One of the best places I've ever stayed.

The beach here was stunning, with clear water, colourful pebbles, shade from olive trees and showers along the shore. A few tavernas nearby served delicious homemade food, often with homegrown vegetables. It was just the peaceful little retreat we needed from a busy world, and Skala Mistegnon felt like a lovely place off the beaten track. The sea view from our accommodation was blissful, only 15/20 metres from the water, with beautiful sunrises and sunset skies. Nelly runs 9 Musses with care and a warm, friendly manner. My son and I stayed this summer, and the staff were sweet and respectful while working hard to keep the building clean, tidy and welcoming. The gardens were beautifully kept too. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, so don't skip it. We can't wait to come back in June!

We chose this place because it was the cheapest option in the area when we booked, and I'm sure it's the best place to stay. It's quiet and pleasant, and the owner was really helpful. There are two parts to the property: one by the beach and another in a beautiful garden about 100 m away. Some rooms have cooking utensils and a fridge, so you can make your own meals. They don't serve dinner, and breakfast was OK.

We stayed at the 9 Musses apartments, near their studios, though the apartment location isn't marked on Google Maps. The entrance is at 39°12'41.9"N 26°28'26.6"E. The buildings enclose a lovely space that the owner has made into a garden, and from what we could tell, all apartments overlook it. Ours was spacious and well equipped, with two single sofa beds in the open-plan kitchen area, a main bedroom, and a good-sized bathroom with a shower, w.c. and basin. Both rooms had windows and shared a balcony with a table and chairs. There was air conditioning in each room, and the kitchen had the essential utensils for cooking. One large wardrobe served the whole apartment. There's no parking on site, but we found a spot easily on the dirt road just outside the entrance. The owner was happy to let us bring the car through the main entrance to load or unload near the garden in the centre of the site. The beach is a three-minute walk away, and there are plenty of tavernas nearby for genuine Greek food.
