Miraluna Aparthotel

My first disappointment in 12 years of holidays in Greece. The host cancelled my reservation, which I'd made more than six months ahead and already paid for, just a few days before check-in. I suspect the price no longer suited him, though he gave no valid reason. It caused me a lot of trouble during our holiday. Thankfully, I found a better hotel and we had a great time, but I wouldn't trust this person.

Vaso, the owner, was incredibly helpful and friendly. The apartment was spacious, well equipped, cleaned daily, and had a comfortable bed. From the terrace on one side and balcony on the other, we could see the gardens, hills, and mountains. It's a quiet setting, yet Kato Lefkos is about a 20 minute mostly flat walk away, and Lefkos village is a 20 minute uphill walk. There's also a roof top terrace with sun beds, barbecues, and covered parking. I'd fully recommend staying here.

The owner is such a wonderful person, and we're very grateful for this stay. We spent 11 nights at Miraluna and enjoyed every day. The spacious apartments were very clean and had everything we needed to feel at home. Surrounded by greenery with views of both the mountains and sea, it's a great base for relaxing in a quiet part of the village or exploring the island. We hope to come back.

The host cancelled our booking.com reservation six days before check-in, despite it having a valid, guaranteed payment method. We'd booked months earlier. When I explained I had no idea where to stay with my family, he didn't even apologize. This was the worst experience I've had, and the host seems extremely unfair and untrustworthy. Check older reviews as well as recent ones, since this appears to have been his usual behavior for years. Stay away.
