We loved how peaceful it was, especially with Kato Zakros staying so quiet even in August. The gardens and views are incredible, and the whole place feels like a little paradise. It’s remote and unspoiled, the kind of spot you almost want to keep secret. We had such a relaxing time and will definitely stay at Stella's traditional when we come back. Just wonderful.

Stella and Ilias are caring hosts, and the setting is something special. The area feels like the end of the world, right at the eastern end of Crete, and the hiking trails are laid out really well. At night, I got to enjoy a view of the stars and galaxy as impressive as the ones I remember from when I was young. The place is beautifully arranged, with lovely surroundings. If you don't feel like cooking, there are a few excellent restaurants at the beach. This is a very good reason to return to Crete, and I can strongly recommend staying here.
